The sound system that allows performers to hear themselves on stage. Monitors can either be speakers placed on the stage in front of the musicians or in-ear monitors, which are worn like headphones in the ears of the musicians. The monitor system is a different mix than what the audience is hearing and can be adjusted for the preferences of each performer.
